About Film

In 2022, I had the opportunity to study at Cinema Hub, where my professor challenged me to write a short film with a 5-minute runtime. Taking a unique approach, I decided to make a pen the main character, surprising my professor and classmates.

I developed the script, storyboard, and shooting plan, feeling nervous as it was my first time leading a film project. The shoot lasted for 20 hours, starting from a stationary shop and ending in a garbage field. Despite the challenges, we successfully completed the project.

With the assistance of my professor, the video editing was refined to enhance certain aspects. After completion, I submitted the film to the Cambodia National Short Film Festival 2022 and was honored with the Rising Director Award.

In 2023, the film featuring the pen achieved 2nd place at the Chaktomuk Short Film Festival 2023. I’m excited to continue creating films that share my thoughts and experiences with a wider audience. If you’re curious about the story of the pen, you can watch the video below and enjoy it.
